I really like Cricket Creek. This latest installment though was... awkward. It was like someone else was writing it. The dialogue and the action was just awkward. I couldn't imagine anyone opening up so deeply to someone they just met as the Hero does. The Hero's character was also muddy. He said he was a nerd, but acted like a high powered lawyer. There were things he said and did that just didn't fit what we had learned about him. And the kicker? We have a heroine who we meet and instantly love. She's fun and compassionate and smart. Wait, maybe she's not smart. McLane can't seem to figure that question out. The heroine doesn't know some "big" words that are actually pretty basic. Now, I know she barely finished high school, but come on. She's a voracious reader. Even if she just reads romance books, reading expands your vocabulary. So, the story was cute, the heroine was lovable and the secondary romance in the book was actually better than the main one. But it was all a little awkward.

I enjoyed another story in the Cricket Creek series very much. However Whisper's Edge is so boring and repetitive, I was unable to get even half way through.
More of the same and I love the Cricket Creek such a good series. Every one should read the series.
Another good book. I get wrapped up in series and the Cricket Creek Novels are fun to read and take me away from my everyday life.
This was a great book and a great series. LuAnn McLane is awesome all of her books are so funny and thy suck you right in.
As with all of LuAnnMcLane books, I really liked this one. An easy read and I just skim over the graphic details that I do not enjoy. Most books today have too much sex for me and I just overlook it.
Sweet relaxing read. Savannah and Tristan are two lost souls who come together to complete each other. I love the way this author always has a second love story going usually with a slightly older couple. I recommend this book as well as the series.
