The way the main character interacts with a rapidly changing environment and how he finds himself taking on much more responsibility then he expects is amazing. Just when it seems that things are calming down, Travis throws another twist in the storyline and you are left wanting more.

I’ve been waiting on this book from the relatively new and upcoming author Travis Stinnett, since I finished reading the first book. I give this book 4.55 stars and this is why

This installment of the Silent Soldiers series was slow to start in the beginning. However, I expect this when an author recaps a previous book in the series. But because it started off slow, doesn’t mean it stays that way. About halfway through the second chapter, it begins to pick up the pace. That’s where the story captured my mind and held on for dear life until I finished the book.

There are a lot of twists and turns throughout this book’s plotline. I’ll give you a hint to one twist with this little remark It really IS his father. That’s it. That’s all I’m going to say on that particular twist. There are times when I was thinking to myself “What will Travis come up with next in his clever mind.” As I was saying, there are many, many plot twists. But the best one was saved for last. What exactly IS Jordan, a new character, and why do they want that? Yes boys and girls, this one ends in a cliff hanger.

I would recommend this series to any young adult reader and some regular adult readers as well. However, I would suggest they read the first one, The Silent Soldiers (found here http//www./The-Silent-Soldiers-Travis-Stinnett-ebook/dp/B00BGRGRV2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388792594&sr=8-1&keywords=Silent+Soldiers) before you read the new one. That way you get a basic understanding of the characters and what each of their powers are. Also, Travis refers to the previous book several times. That is the only reason I’m giving this one a 4.55, which rounds up to a 5.

Very good book. I usually don't go for the sci-fi stuff. But since I work with Travis, I read the books. Read the first one and this one the same day. Can't wait for the next one in the series now. Good job!
Luke continues his journey in his new found world on a quest to protect his family and friends. He must make a choice of loyalty to particular family and friends and choose between life and death.

I look forward to reading the third book in the series. Very addicting books!
